Description
In Stafford Springs Ct. during the 1700's and 1800's the town was a resort where people from near and far would come to bathe and drink the waters of the mineral springs. Which were thought to be curative of various ailments. In the 1700's John Adams came for a time to drink and bathe in the waters. A hotel was built in the early 1800's near the mineral waters to accommodate its guests. This view is in 1836. I took this from an old engraving of the area.
