Artist's Description

This is my fourth in a series of paintings of my home towns main st. in the past. I used a reference photo of the street in about 1943. There were cars and a few people walking in the distance. I made some changes by adding the people in the foreground in period dress, and using artistic license on the colors of the vehicles and some of the buildings. In the backround behind the businessman's head is a wall of honor that was in place during WW2 listing the names of all Stafford residents who were serving in the Armed Forces.
